Delighted to hear from the Sports Minster that 60 million pounds of funding from the Government and Sport England has been allocated to make our Swimming Pools more energy efficient and boost the long-term financial resilience of the public leisure sector.
This funding includes £90,000 for the Weald Sports Centre and £516,000 for the Maidstone Leisure Centre.
Access to sports clubs is so important for people’s physical and mental health. This money from the Government will make a huge difference to my constituency.
