Welcoming the launch of the Invicta Summer Academy Helen Grant, Member of Parliament for Maidstone and The Weald, said,
‘One of the most concerning effects of the Coronavirus crisis has been the amount of time children have necessarily had to spend outside of school. Through no fault of their own, young people across our community have missed out on crucial contact time with their teachers.
I am therefore delighted to be supporting The Pop Up Invicta Academy Summer School which launches at the end of this month. The initiative aims to help children to catch up on missed lesson time before school restarts in September. It is run by volunteers and open between 27th July and 28th August. All lessons are completely FREE and delivered online by qualified teachers.
I want to thank all of those involved in setting up this pioneering initiative, including the wonderful teachers who are giving of their time to help. I would encourage parents to consider signing their children up for the Academy’s exciting programme of lessons by visiting www.invictaacademy.com.’
