Maidstone MENCAP Honorary Vice President shared in the celebrations at the charity’s home in Cobtree Hall, Mote Park on the first day of December.
Santa was joined by several elves and festively dressed volunteers to offer cakes, a grand raffle, a lucky dip tombola, gift stalls and a host of other treats in the annual fundraising event.
Maidstone & The Weald MP Helen Grant formally opened the fayre. She then addressed the assembled team just after the doors were opened to the public and thanked all those involved for their tireless hard work, care and compassion.
Commenting on the event Helen said ‘The work this organisation carries out is pivotal in the lives of so many who are challenged with learning disabilities. Their need for funds is ceaseless and every pound and penny make a difference. It’s great to be involved and I am delighted to hear that the bazaar raised well over £1000 this year’.
