Helen Grant MP, Member of Parliament for Maidstone & The Weald, will be hosting a "Meet Helen" morning offering coffee, tea and biscuits at Abigail's Coffee Shop in the Unicorn Pub and Restaurant, Marden on Friday August 1st between 11am and midday.
The event provides an opportunity for constituents to ask Helen about her work as their Member of Parliament and discuss any issues they wish to raise.
To help plan the catering, constituents are requested to signal their intention to come along by emailing email@example.com or by phoning 020 7219 7107. Drop-ins will be welcome on the day too – no tickets required.
"I think MPs should make themselves as accessible as possible to their constituents. I want to hear the views and concerns of the people of Maidstone & The Weald and my 'Meet Helen' events are just one of the ways I am using to reach out to them. I am grateful to Keith and Roz at Abigail's Coffee shop at the Unicorn Inn, Marden and I hope as many local residents as possible will pop in for a chat".
Helen will also be extending her community outreach by adding to her drop-in Supermarket Surgeries with a new location at Tesco Extra in Tovil. Helen will be at the supermarket in Farleigh Hill on Friday 25th July between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
"My new surgery at Tesco Extra in Tovil is a great addition to existing supermarket drop-ins at Sainsbury's in Romney Place, Waitrose in Allington, the Co-op in Cranbrook, Asda Living in Maidstone, as well as at Maidstone Hospital. I'm always interested in hearing about other suggestions for surgery locations people might have, to help me to engage with constituents right across our communities. Please stop by for a chat if you see me!"
