Maidstone Mencap Storybook Walk

Helen Grant MP, Honorary President of Maidstone Mencap, joined the Worshipful Mayor of Maidstone Malcolm Greer to cut the 

starting ribbon on a fancy dress sponsored walk in Mote Park last weekend.

Before the romp commenced a gymnast from Maidstone's Pegasus Gym loosened tight muscles with a warm-up routine for everyone, and then it was time for the walkers to take their marks at the starting line.

Helen said 'I so admire Maidstone Mencap for the work they do in our community and for their tireless fundraising efforts. It is a pleasure to be involved'.

The money from this walk will go towards important refurbishment works inside Mencap's building at Cobtree Hall in Mote Park. Donations can be made online here. Maidstone Mencap are always looking for more volunteers, if are interested in offering your time then check availability here.
