Helen Visits Benenden School

Helen Grant MP, the Member of Parliament for Maidstone and The Weald, visited Benenden school on Friday, where she was treated to a tour of the campus followed by tea with the Deputy Head Teacher, Mrs. Price and Head of Government and Politics, Mrs. Harber.

Helen was shown Benenden's new science block, which features separate study areas for the three sciences: Biology, Chemistry and Physics, a lecture theatre and laboratories. She was then shown around the grounds, where many of the school's sporting teams were practising for upcoming fixtures.

Helen said: "Benenden is quite rightly considered one of the UK's premier boarding schools for girls. It was lovely to see the grounds that looked so resplendent in the sunlight and I was excited to see Benenden's stunning new science building, which I was informed contains better facilities than many universities. I look forward to visiting Benenden later in the year to meet with some of their girls who are interested in politics".
