Helen Grant MP visits Pegasus Gymnastics Club in Tovil

Helen Grant MP, Member of Parliament for Maidstone and The Weald and Minister for Sport, visited Pegasus Gymnastics Club last week to check out their new facilities. The Club provides international level coaching, with a full range of Olympic apparatus for both Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics, as well as offering opportunities for children of all ages and abilities from babies and pre-school to school age children and teenagers.

Commenting on her visit, Helen said:

"It was fantastic to check out the facilities at Pegasus Gymnastics. The Club produces some of the UK's best gymnasts with some real medal hopes for Rio 2016. I was in awe of Courtney Tulloch's ability on the pommel horse, and it's a tribute to him and all involved with the club that they are competing at the top level.

"I had a go at balancing on the beam myself and it really brought home the skill and talent required to compete! Sport is such an important force in the community - it gave me real focus and drive growing up - and Pegasus is a great example of what sport, particularly gymnastics, can do for young people."
