Helen and Archie meet members of 'MAD'

It's a Big Border Bundle at the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match in Marden

Thousands of rural-life loving folk descended upon the low weald at Gatehouse Farm in Marden last Saturday where local MP Helen Grant also found time to relax with the local community at the 2017 Weald of Kent Ploughing Match.

After talking with sponsors, farmers and organisers Helen was drawn to the dog activities section with her border terrier Archie where she met members of Maidstone Activity Dogs (MAD).

Helen said 'I was astonished at the level of skill some of the dogs and their handlers showed in the activities enclosure and I found out that Maidstone Activity Dogs were behind some of the top performers. Having recently welcomed young border terrier 'Archie' into our household I was especially interested in the puppy training classes and hope to be attending soon if our schedule allows'.
