Around 100 farmers, councillors and rural business stakeholders are expected to attend a special Rural Business Forum arranged by Maidstone & The Weald MP Helen Grant at 12:30 until 3:30pm on Thursday 12th July 2018 at Kenward House, Kenward Rd, Yalding, ME18 6AH.

Helen said 'As the uncertainties of the Brexit process move along, the impact upon farming and the rural economy is a major issue here in Kent. Rural communities also face some unique challenges from criminal gangs and individuals and I wanted to provide an opportunity for our people to hear from those in charge and air their views and questions. I am therefore very pleased to announce that I have secured the attendance of George Eustice MP - Minister of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and Kent PCC Matthew Scott as speakers at the forum.'

'I am also intending to use the occasion to raise some much-needed funds and other forms of donation for the Kenward Trust, whose excellent conference facilities are the location of the forum. I visited them recently and saw the damage recent heavy rain caused to a flat roof which now badly needs money for repairs. I am inviting guests to offer something for a raffle and perhaps a little auction and hopefully we can do something to help further their excellent cause'.

For tickets to the event and / or to offer something for the raffle / auction contact Katy Allen at Helen Grant's office on 020 7219 7107 or email katy.allen@parliament.uk. Numbers are strictly limited but there is no entrance charge.
